Square Golf simulator: camera accuracy, no subscription

Square Golf is the brand I'd point to if you want a camera unit and refuse yearly fees. The Omni is the one to watch.

Square Golf makes two side-of-ball camera units: the $699 Home Edition (indoor only, marked balls for spin) and the 2026 Omni ($1,599), which reads spin on any ball and works outdoors.

There's no subscription. Native rounds use pay-as-you-go credits, and GSPro and E6 connect without a gateway plan.

Which one I'd buy

Square Golf Omni

The Omni is my best no-subscription pick. Early forum testers were very impressed for the price. Buy from a retailer with easy returns, because stock and support are its weak points.

The room a Square Golf simulator needs

Retailers list about 10 × 10 ft with a 9 ft ceiling for the Home Edition, and about 12 ft of depth for the Omni. Both sit beside the ball, so they need no space behind you.

Check your own numbers with the room size calculator or read the full room size guide.

Questions people ask

Does Square Golf need a subscription?

No. Square uses pay-as-you-go credits for its own rounds, and GSPro and E6 connect without a Square plan.

What's the difference between Square Golf Home and Omni?

The Omni has four cameras, reads spin on any ball, measures club speed and works outdoors. The Home Edition is indoor only, needs marked balls for spin and doesn't measure club speed.
