The best home golf simulators

A complete simulator is a launch monitor plus an enclosure, screen, mat and projector. Buying them as a package is simpler and often cheaper. These are the packages I'd shortlist for each room and budget, with what's really included and what you'll still need to buy.

Before you choose a package

  1. Measure your room. Ceiling height rules out more setups than budget does. Use the room size calculator.
  2. Pick the launch monitor type. Short room: a camera unit beside the ball. Deep garage and outdoor practice: radar behind you. Mixed left/right household with a high ceiling: overhead. See my launch monitor picks.
  3. Count the yearly plan and the PC. Most packages include neither.

How I put this together: I haven't had these units in my own bay. My picks come from the makers' specs and plan pages, retailer listings, published reviews and owner reports, each linked in the sources, and I name the outlet whenever I mention a hands-on test. My research method.

Package or build it yourself?

Packages save time and usually some money, and the parts are known to work together. Building it yourself lets you spend where it matters to you, for example a better mat or a brighter projector. My sourced mid-range DIY build (Uneekor EYE MINI LITE, SIG10 enclosure, BenQ AH500ST, SIGPRO Softy mat and a gaming laptop) came to about $9,446 for the first year, including GSPro and Uneekor Pro.

Read how to build a golf simulator for the step-by-step, or price your own combination with the cost calculator.

A note on prices

Many of these were sale prices on October 27, 2026 (Rain or Shine and Shop Indoor Golf were both running fall promotions). Check the seller's page before you buy.

Questions people ask

What is the best home golf simulator for the money?

For most homes, a SkyTrak ST MAX package like Shop Indoor Golf's SIG10 ($3,999.99) is the best value: a side-of-ball launch monitor that suits short rooms, with an enclosure, screen and projector. Budget for SkyTrak's Core plan to play courses.

What's the cheapest complete golf simulator with a screen?

The cheapest package with an enclosure, impact screen and projector that I found was the Garmin R10 SIG10 at $3,599.99 from Shop Indoor Golf.

What is the best golf simulator for beginners?

I'd start with an entry-level setup built around a Garmin R10 ($499.99) or Rapsodo MLM2PRO ($549.99). With a Net Return Pro and a Fiberbuilt mat, that's about $1,650; the Garmin R10 SIG10 package with a screen and projector is $3,599.99. Both units also work at the range, and you can add a screen later.

How much is a high-end home golf simulator?

A Trackman iO starts at $13,995 for the unit, Rain or Shine's Trackman iO SwingBay is $17,494 and its Foresight GCQuad SwingBay is $19,498. Carl's Place Trackman iO bundles run $25,000.95 to $39,378.25, and an installed Trackman FlexCage starts at $43,995.

Do golf simulator packages include a computer?

Usually not. Rain or Shine SwingBay, Foresight SIM IN A BOX, Uneekor and Trackman packages leave the PC out. The Garmin R50 avoids the issue by running the simulator on the unit.

Can I put a golf simulator in my garage?

Yes, and many owners do. Retractable screens like Shop Indoor Golf's G-TRAK roll up so you can park, and retailers suggest keeping the space roughly 50–85 °F. Measure your ceiling to the garage door track, not the drywall.
