Foresight Falcon review

The Falcon makes sense in one situation: a dedicated room with a high ceiling where lefties and righties share the bay. Outside that, I'd keep the money.

I'd buy it if

Dedicated rooms with 9.5–10.5 ft ceilings and mixed-handed families.

I'd skip it if

Your ceiling is under about 9.5 ft or you rent your home.

My take on the Foresight Falcon

It's Foresight's ceiling-mounted camera unit, so nothing sits on the floor, and the wide hitting area lets both hands use the bay without moving hardware. That's a real quality-of-life upgrade in a family room.

It asks a lot of the room, though: a 9.5–10.5 ft ceiling that can carry 75 lb, and about 14 ft of depth. Owners also note club-data dead zones when lefties and righties hit from the same spot, and it still needs club stickers.

At $16,999 plus Foresight+ plans, it's a no-compromise purchase. If your ceiling is under about 9.5 ft or you rent, it's not for you.

What I'd check before buying

  • Ceiling height and a mount rated for 75 lb
  • Club stickers
  • Foresight+ plans

How I put this review together: I haven't had this unit in my own bay. It's built from Foresight Sports's own pages, retailer listings, published reviews and owner reports, each linked below. My research method.

The real cost of the Foresight Falcon

I saw it at $16,999.00. Foresight+ plans: Silver ($199/yr) + Course Pass ($295/yr) for courses, Gold ($599/yr) for third-party sims. Needs a ceiling mount that holds 75 lb.

Plan or add-onPer yearRequired? What it unlocks
Foresight+ (Free / Silver $199 / Gold $599) + Course Pass—OptionalShips with 30-day Gold + Course Pass Pro trial. Before Sept 2026 PlayBetter said no subscription and 25 courses included; extra courses about $500 each.
Year one
$17,493
Three years
$18,481
Five years
$19,469

My math: price + the yearly plan a typical owner needs to play full courses ($494.00/yr). Excludes net, mat, screen and projector. Compare every plan.

The room it needs

The Foresight Falcon is a ceiling-mounted unit (overhead (mounted about 4 ft in front of hitting area)). Overhead units free up the floor and suit both hands, but the ceiling has to be high enough to mount them at the maker's stated height.

Room depth (minimum)14 ft
Room width (minimum)Not published

Retailers (SimSpace) and PlayBetter: 9.5-10.5 ft mounting height (10 ft ideal), mat centre 10-12 ft from screen, about 4 ft from the Falcon; ~14 ft depth. Ceiling must hold at least 75 lb and installation by licensed contractors (Falcon manual). Hitting zone 59 x 28 in, shared by left and right-handed golfers. Not portable.

What it measures (and what it estimates)

Makers rarely label which numbers are measured and which are calculated. Where the sources split them, I show it. A calculated value isn't useless, but it's more likely to drift indoors.

Measured

  • ball speed
  • vertical launch angle
  • horizontal launch angle
  • total spin
  • spin axis
  • club head speed
  • club path
  • angle of attack
  • lie and face angle at impact
  • loft at impact
  • impact location
  • closure rate

Calculated / estimated

  • carry
  • smash factor
  • apex
  • descent angle
  • offline

Club data needs stickers and is only captured in two 11 x 11 in zones in the front corners of the hitting area (PlayBetter).

Software and compatibility

Native apps: Foresight Premier (PC), Foresight app. Runs on PC, iOS, Android.

What owners say

Recurring points from owner forums, verified-buyer reviews and retailer Q&A. Each links to where I read it. "Several sources" means at least two independent owners said it.

These outlets published their own reviews. I summarize their headline verdict; read the full review for their testing details.

  • PlayBetter

Good fit for golfers wanting overhead, high-accuracy ball and club data in a compact system; price and 9.5-10 ft ceiling are the catches.

Where the sources disagree

I show the conflict and which figure I used, rather than quietly picking one.
