Foresight Sports GCQuad review
This is the reference standard among camera units, and it's priced like one. I'd only point fitters, coaches or no-compromise builders here.

I'd buy it if
Fitters, coaches and no-compromise home builds.
I'd skip it if
You mostly play rounds for fun; a GC3 or EYE MINI covers that for far less.
My take on the Foresight GCQuad
Four cameras give the GCQuad the deepest club data in Foresight's range: face angle, impact location, closure rate and loft and lie at impact, all measured. That's the data fitters and coaches build sessions around.
For a home golfer playing rounds for fun, though, $15,999 is hard to justify when a GC3 does ball data very well at a quarter of the price. Plans follow the same Foresight+ structure as the GC3.
Owner data on the GCQuad is thinner than on cheaper units, but the one recurring practical note is lighting: LED room lighting can cause shot-detection issues, so plan your lighting with it in mind.

What I'd check before buying
- Same Foresight+ plans as the GC3
- LED lighting can affect detection
- Price versus a GC3 for your actual use
How I put this review together: I haven't had this unit in my own bay. It's built from Foresight Sports's own pages, retailer listings, published reviews and owner reports, each linked below. My research method.
The real cost of the Foresight Sports GCQuad
I saw it at $15,999.00. Same Foresight+ structure as the GC3: Silver ($199/yr) + Course Pass ($295/yr) for courses, Gold ($599/yr) for third-party sims.
| Plan or add-on | Per year | Required? | What it unlocks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Foresight+ (Free / Silver $199 / Gold $599) + Course Pass $295 / PRO $595 | — | Optional | New units include 30-day Gold + Course Pass Pro trial; Gold needed for third-party integrations; Free tier includes data on Foresight devices |
- Year one
- $16,493
- Three years
- $17,481
- Five years
- $18,469
My math: price + the yearly plan a typical owner needs to play full courses ($494.00/yr). Excludes net, mat, screen and projector. Compare every plan.
The room it needs
The Foresight Sports GCQuad is a camera-based unit (side of ball). Units beside the ball read the launch with cameras, so they need little depth, but they must move to the other side for a left-handed golfer.
| Unit behind the ball | 0 ft |
|---|---|
| Ball to screen (minimum) | Not published |
| Room depth (minimum) | 10 ft |
| Room width (minimum) | 10 ft |
| Ceiling (minimum) | 9 ft |
| Indoor / outdoor | Indoor + Outdoor |
| Special balls or stickers | Club markers included; Foresight says clubhead measurement needs 'no extra hardware' (unclear whether markers are mandatory) |
SimSpace retailer: unit about 22 in from ball centre. Golfers Authority: 10 x 10 ft minimum, 9 ft ceiling, but gives conflicting unit distances. Foresight footnote: outdoor use requires the unit to be 'fully covered' (wording unclear).

What it measures (and what it estimates)
Makers rarely label which numbers are measured and which are calculated. Where the sources split them, I show it. A calculated value isn't useless, but it's more likely to drift indoors.
Measured
- ball speed
- launch angle
- side angle
- total spin
- spin axis / side spin
- club head speed
- club path
- angle of attack
- loft/lie at impact
- face angle
- impact location
- closure rate
Calculated / estimated
- carry
- smash factor
Foresight lists the club data; club markers included. Comparison table also checks face-to-path, dynamic loft, face-to-target but column alignment unclear.
Software and compatibility
Native apps: Foresight app, Foresight Premier (PC). Runs on iOS, Android, PC.
| Simulator software | Works? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| GSPro | Yes | New units need Gold tier for third-party integrations |
| E6 Connect | No | not confirmed in this session |
What owners say
Recurring points from owner forums, verified-buyer reviews and retailer Q&A. Each links to where I read it. "Several sources" means at least two independent owners said it.

Questions people ask
How much does the Foresight Sports GCQuad really cost?
$15,999 at the street price I saw on 2026-10-27. Same Foresight+ structure as the GC3: Silver ($199/yr) + Course Pass ($295/yr) for courses, Gold ($599/yr) for third-party sims. By my math that's about $17,481 over three years and $18,469 over five.
Does the Foresight Sports GCQuad need a subscription?
No plan is required for the core features. Same Foresight+ structure as the GC3: Silver ($199/yr) + Course Pass ($295/yr) for courses, Gold ($599/yr) for third-party sims.
Can you use the Foresight Sports GCQuad outdoors?
Yes, the maker and retailers list it for outdoor use as well as indoors.
How much space does the Foresight Sports GCQuad need?
It sits beside the ball, so it needs no space behind you. Plan for about 15 ft of total depth with a 10 ft ball-to-screen gap, and room for the unit on the hitting side.
