Uneekor EYE XR review

The XR is the lowest-maintenance overhead unit I've found: no stickers, no marked balls, one cable. Owner data is still thin, so I'd treat it as promising rather than proven.

I'd buy it if

Clean overhead installs without stickers.

I'd skip it if

You need a long track record before spending $6,000.

My take on the Uneekor EYE XR

Uneekor's 2025 overhead unit mounts behind the golfer and uses AI club tracking, so it doesn't need stickers or marked balls. It runs on a single PoE cable. For a clean, permanent install, that's appealing at $5,999.

There isn't much owner feedback yet. The main complaint so far is commercial, not technical: QED owners felt the trade-in offer was worth less than advertised. As with every Uneekor, GSPro needs the Pro plan.

If you want overhead without the XO2's price, this is the one to watch.

What I'd check before buying

  • Ceiling mount about 10 ft high
  • Uneekor Pro ($199/yr) for GSPro
  • More owner reports before you commit

How I put this review together: I haven't had this unit in my own bay. It's built from Uneekor's own pages, retailer listings, published reviews and owner reports, each linked below. My research method.

The real cost of the Uneekor EYE XR

I saw it at $5,999.00 (list price $6,999.00). Pro ($199/yr) for third-party software, plus GSPro ($250/yr).

Plan or add-onPer yearRequired? What it unlocks

Uneekor Pro$199.00OptionalThird-party software connector (GSPro, E6 Connect, TGC 2019, Creative Golf), Refine (5 courses), 500 reports, 5 profiles. Effectively REQUIRED to use any third-party sim.

Uneekor Ultimate$599.00OptionalChampion + GAMEDAY (40+ courses, needs two displays), online/tournament play, 100 profiles. 3 months free with new units.
GSPro license (third party, sold separately)$250.00OptionalGSPro course play; Uneekor FAQ says it ALSO needs an active Pro/Champion/Ultimate membership, so GSPro on Uneekor ~ $449/yr
Uneekor + GSPro integrated membership (announced 2026-10-18)$299.00Optional'Starting at' $299/yr for NEW Uneekor customers: GSPro course play + AI Trainer + VIEW; existing owners can switch at renewal. Exact tier contents beyond the news report unverified.
Year one
$6,448
Three years
$7,346
Five years
$8,244

My math: price + the yearly plan a typical owner needs to play full courses ($449.00/yr). Excludes net, mat, screen and projector. Compare every plan.

Uneekor membership tiers: Player free, Pro $199 per year, Champion $399 per year, Ultimate $599 per year
Uneekor's tiers: third-party software like GSPro needs Pro or higher. Screenshot of the maker's page, captured Oct 27, 2026.

The room it needs

The Uneekor EYE XR is a ceiling-mounted unit (overhead behind golfer (ceiling-mounted at rear, ~3.5 ft behind hitting area per Carl's Place, optimal height 10 ft)). Overhead units free up the floor and suit both hands, but the ceiling has to be high enough to mount them at the maker's stated height.

Ball to screen (minimum)Not published
Room depth (minimum)16 ft
Room width (minimum)13 ft
Ceiling (minimum)10 ft
Indoor / outdoorIndoor only
Special balls or stickersNone (no stickers, no marked balls).

Uneekor recommended minimum 13 ft W x 16 ft D x 10 ft H. Single PoE cable for power and data; two dedicated Ethernet ports on PC. Hitting area smaller than QED per Uneekor help center.

What it measures (and what it estimates)

Makers rarely label which numbers are measured and which are calculated. Where the sources split them, I show it. A calculated value isn't useless, but it's more likely to drift indoors.

Measured

  • ball speed
  • launch angle
  • side angle
  • back spin
  • side spin
  • club speed
  • club path
  • face angle

Calculated / estimated

  • spin axis
  • smash factor
  • carry
  • run
  • total distance
  • apex
  • distance to apex
  • flight time
  • angle of descent
  • side total
  • ball flight type

19 data points (15 ball + 4 club: club path, club speed, smash factor, face angle). No club stickers or marked balls needed.

Software and compatibility

Native apps: Uneekor VIEW, Refine / Refine+, GAMEDAY. Runs on PC (Windows 11) only.
