Bushnell Launch Pro review

It's GC3 hardware with a screen, and owners rate its accuracy highly. I'd only buy it if you mostly want ball data, because using it as a full GSPro simulator costs about $849 a year in plans.

I'd buy it if

Buyers who mostly want accurate ball data and will rarely pay for plans.

I'd skip it if

You plan to play GSPro every week; a GC3 at its current price gives the same core hardware.

My take on the Bushnell Launch Pro

The Launch Pro is built by Foresight on the same camera platform as the GC3, and owners compare its numbers favourably with Trackman and GCQuad. The built-in screen is genuinely handy at the range and readable in sunlight.

The plan structure is the problem. Ball data is free; club data needs Silver ($199 a year); GSPro needs Gold ($599 a year) plus GSPro itself ($250). The unit also has to check in online every 45 days, which owners find frustrating.

With the GC3 itself now at $3,999, and the Launch Pro at $2,999.99, the gap is $1,000. If you'll pay for plans anyway, I'd spend the extra on the GC3. If you mainly want accurate ball data for practice and rarely play courses, the Launch Pro is a good deal.

What I'd check before buying

  • The 45-day online check-in
  • Silver for club data, Gold for GSPro
  • Club stickers for club data

How I put this review together: I haven't had this unit in my own bay. It's built from Bushnell Golf's own pages, retailer listings, published reviews and owner reports, each linked below. My research method.

The real cost of the Bushnell Launch Pro

I saw it at $2,999.99. Ball data is free. Club data needs Silver ($199/yr); GSPro needs Gold ($599/yr) plus a GSPro licence ($250/yr). The unit must check in online every 45 days.

Plan or add-onPer yearRequired? What it unlocks
Foresight+ Free$0OptionalBall data, core views, 10 sessions of history. Bushnell units show dashes for club metrics without a paid tier.
Foresight+ Silver$199.00OptionalClub data on Bushnell devices, unlimited history, practice views/drills, Course Pass eligibility
Foresight+ Gold$599.00OptionalSilver plus swing video, multiple profiles, club comparison, third-party software access (needed for GSPro)
Course Pass$295.00Optional35 Foresight Premier courses; requires Silver or Gold
Course Pass PRO$595.00Optional111 courses; requires Silver or Gold
GSPro$250.00OptionalThird-party sim; requires active Gold, so about $849/yr total
Year one
$3,849
Three years

Five years
$7,245

My math: price + the yearly plan a typical owner needs to play full courses ($849.00/yr). Excludes net, mat, screen and projector. Compare every plan.

The room it needs

The Bushnell Launch Pro is a camera-based unit (side of ball (beside hitting area, level with ball)). Units beside the ball read the launch with cameras, so they need little depth, but they must move to the other side for a left-handed golfer.

Room depth (minimum)Not published

Indoor / outdoorIndoor + Outdoor
Special balls or stickersNo special balls (premium balls recommended); club marker stickers required for club data

Sits beside the ball, level with it; 7 x 10 in hitting zone. Bushnell gives no room dimensions. PlayBetter's GC3 (same hardware) guide suggests about 10-15 ft depth, 10 ft width, 9 ft ceiling. Must move unit to switch between right and left-handed golfers (per GC3 guide). Must connect to the internet in the US at least every 45 days or it stops connecting to apps.

What it measures (and what it estimates)

Makers rarely label which numbers are measured and which are calculated. Where the sources split them, I show it. A calculated value isn't useless, but it's more likely to drift indoors.

Measured

  • ball speed
  • vertical launch angle
  • horizontal launch angle
  • total spin
  • spin tilt axis
  • club head speed (with markers)
  • club path (with markers)
  • angle of attack (with markers)

Calculated / estimated

  • carry
  • back spin
  • side spin
  • apex
  • descent angle
  • offline
  • curve
  • hang time
  • smash factor

Club data needs the included club marker stickers and a Silver or Gold membership. No face angle or face-to-path listed (Breaking Eighty reader comment). Measured/calculated split follows usual camera-system convention; Bushnell does not label each.

Software and compatibility

Native apps: Foresight app (formerly FSX Pro/Play on mobile), Foresight Premier (PC). Runs on iOS, Android, PC (Windows gaming PC required for Premier).

What published reviews found

These outlets published their own reviews. I summarize their headline verdict; read the full review for their testing details.

  • Breaking Eighty

9.3/10: still top-tier accuracy and ease of use; the question is whether the subscription costs fit you.

  • PlayBetter

Most accurate launch monitor the author has tested at its price, but subscriptions are the main drawback.

  • MyGolfSpy

Headline only (page blocked): 'Why the new Bushnell Circle B Launch Pro series has me confused'.

Where the sources disagree

I show the conflict and which figure I used, rather than quietly picking one.

Gold price

$599/yr (Bushnell product page, Breaking Eighty, PlayBetter Sept-Oct 2026) vs $499/yr (Shop Indoor Golf listing, Nov 2025 Circle B coverage)

I use: $599/yr (Current manufacturer page; $499 was the pre-Sept 2026 price)

MSRP

$2,999.99 (Bushnell, Shop Indoor Golf) vs $2,499 (Nov 2025 Circle B launch)

I use: $2,999.99 (Current manufacturer page)

club data on free tier

Bushnell FAQ: Silver/Gold include club data; footnote 'club data requires a software subscription'; PlayBetter guide: Launch Pro needs at least Silver

I use: Silver needed for club data (Three sources align)

Questions people ask

How much does the Bushnell Launch Pro really cost?

$3,000 at the street price I saw on 2026-10-27. Ball data is free. Club data needs Silver ($199/yr); GSPro needs Gold ($599/yr) plus a GSPro licence ($250/yr). The unit must check in online every 45 days. By my math that's about $5,547 over three years and $7,245 over five.

Does the Bushnell Launch Pro need a subscription?

No plan is required for the core features. Ball data is free. Club data needs Silver ($199/yr); GSPro needs Gold ($599/yr) plus a GSPro licence ($250/yr). The unit must check in online every 45 days.

Can you use the Bushnell Launch Pro outdoors?

Yes, the maker and retailers list it for outdoor use as well as indoors.

How much space does the Bushnell Launch Pro need?

It sits beside the ball, so it needs no space behind you. Plan for about 15 ft of total depth with a 10 ft ball-to-screen gap, and room for the unit on the hitting side.

What I couldn't verify (3)
  • E6 Connect / Awesome Golf compatibility
  • official room dimensions
  • exact 2022 launch price (MyGolfSpy implies ~$3,999 then cut to $2,999)
